Dripping With Praise...

So, HorrorScope have struck again, this time with a review of my flash piece in Issue 11 of Shadowed Realms:

"Drip" by Brian G.Ross is another one that didn't quite grab me. It is well written and had me interested at first but the ending left a situation with no rationale or explanation as to how it could have occurred...

-- those guys are really tough to please. Oh well, it just means I have to try harder next time: it will make it all the sweeter when I finally do make them smile.

Disappointing isn't it when you get comments like that - a bit like my posts in AR!! lol

I liked Drip personally :-)

Hi Brian,

Bit of a bummer, but you did get a decent review on Tangent, if you haven't seen it you can check it here; http://www.tangentonline.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=903&Itemid=266

Cheers,

Personally, I think Drip is one of my better horror flashes, but you'll never get 100% consensus on these things.

One man's trash is another man's treasure, huh?

;o)

At least you have a good attitude, Brian.

There is a blog I frequent by a horror writer whose stories are sometimes reviewed over at Tangents.

When he gets praise, he's happy as a pig in... well, you know. But when they criticize one of his stories, he talks about how "small-time" Tangents is, and so on.

You gots to be able to take the sour with the sweet. You seem to be able to do that, and that means you will be able to take constructive criticism and thus go farther than those writers who cannot.

Good show!
