Happy Birthday...

So, the wife turned... another year older today. They tell me a woman reaches her sexual peak in her mid-thirties - still a couple of years off, but I'm lookin' forward to that. I better watch what I write here - maybe she reads this bloody thing after all!

Anyway, it got me thinkin' about mine. I was supposed to have accomplished a lot more in the writin' world by now than I actually have. I've made a very small dent in the small press markets, but where is the book deal? Where are the reporters clamourin' at my door?... And I certainly don't recall sellin' the rights to any of my stories for a seven figure sum! Still, I left the house before the mail arrived this mornin', so I'm ever hopeful.
