It's a sad day.
In the last couple of years I have had two stories published in the small press magazine Outercast. It was a very nice A5 sized affair. The editor, Dennis Rodie, did all the legwork from Sweden, and made a point of accepting work from as many parts of the world as he could. Unfortunately, after seven issues, the magazine is no more.
I don't know the ins and outs of why, but it is the latest in a long, long line of small press outlets now sadly departed. I'm sure another couple will spring up to replace it - they always do - but this was certainly one of the better offerings.
At least we will always have the stories. They never die.
